2014 Tasmanian Tourism Awards - Entrant Support

Tasmanian Tourism Awards Included in your nomination fee are a number of important entrant support programs that we recommend all entrants engage in.

In addition, we'll also be posting regular notices and advice on the Tasmanian Tourism Awards Facebook page - 'Like' now to receive up-to-date information in your news feed.

Entrant Workshops

In 2014, these will be conducted by 2014 Chair of Judges, Simon Stubbs and Tasmanian Tourism Awards Coordinator, Trina Mangels. There will be four workshops - one in each of the regions.

Those both preparing content and writing submissions are recommended to attend.

Awards Advance Newsletter

There will be a regular Awards Advance newsletter from the time the 2014 Tasmanian Tourism Awards are launched on Wednesday the 21st of May until the Gala Dinner for the National Tourism Awards.

Newsletters sent to subscribers are designed to provide tips and advice on entering.

Face to Face Mentoring

New in 2014 is the opportunity for all entrants to make an appointment with a mentor at the Tasmanian Tourism Conference workshop day on Tuesday 12th August, 2014 at the Country Club Casino.

Mentors will be made up of past state judges or those with experience at writing and mentoring for the tourism awards program.

Each session will be approximately 1 to 1.5 hours and each entrant will be required to send through their first draft submission and specific questions prior to their appointment so that the mentor can prepare. This will be required by 5pm on the 8th August, 2014.

Email Mentor Feedback

Once you have your submission completed you have the opportunity to email your submission for mentor feedback prior to final upload onto the e-awards online portal.

To take up this service you need to email your submission to between 9am Monday 25th August and 9am Monday 1st September.

Depending on when your submission is sent in you will be receiving your feedback at the latest 5pm Friday 5th September in time to make changes for the final submission date of Wednesday 10th September.
