How To Achieve Tourism Accreditation

To achieve accreditation, a business must be able to prove, and provide evidence, that they have the necessary business practices to consistently deliver quality and meet or exceed the expectations of their customer.

Step 1. Register for Accreditation

Complete the registration phase by filling out some basic details about your business.

Yearly fees are determined by the number of full-time or equivalent staff members employed. You will be issued with an invoice for your appropriate fee.

Step 2. Commence your Online ATAP Application

Once the appropriate fee has been received you will be issued with an online ATAP application. Use your username and password (established in your registration phase) to log in. Your application will consist of modules that are relevant to your business. You will be asked to answer the questions within each module and provide documentation where necessary. The site has been designed for you to work progressively through the process and provides examples and templates to assist.

Please note the level of information provided should be relevant to the size and nature of your business. You are not required to re-write any information if it already exists in the business.

Step 3. On Site Verification

Once your ATAP application has been successfully completed and has been reviewed, an Industry Services Advisor will carry out a site-visit of your business to ensure conformity with your ATAP application.
