iTOT College

 

The Independent Tourism Operators of Tasmania (iTOT) College is a membership association formed from a diverse range of tourism members.

 The iTOT College provides a voice for Tasmanian independent tourism operators with an association to inform, assist and support members. 

iTOT is committed to the health and prosperity of the Tasmanian tourism industry.

The iTOT College has permanent representation on the Tourism Industry Council Tasmania Board to ensure members interests are being pursued and considered at the highest level.  The Tourism Industry Council Tasmania Board is comprised of representatives from all major sectors within the tourism industry — iTOT, regional tourism associations; transport; industry associations and the corporate sector.

Throughout the membership year iTOT holds regular forums and opportunities to actively participate, network and meet with other Tasmanian operators.

As a member of iTOT you receive up-to-date industry communications.

Becoming a member of iTOT is open to any individual, business or organisation with an interest in tourism.

Members Forums
The iTOT Committee is able to raise relevant issues on your behalf.  Recent discussions have included concerns over the abolishment of the accommodation licensing scheme, forming a common group to represent the interests of commercial vehicle service (CVS) licence holders, land tax and, staff and training.

Networking Function Launceston Monday 5 July
iTOT members joined Skål International Launceston for a cocktail network function on the evening prior to the Tasmanian Tourism Conference. The function was held at Tasmanian Polytechnic, Drysdale North.  Members also had the opportunity to take a hosted tour of the Hotel Charles Launceston.

iTOT, CVS & Parks & Wildlife Meeting on Friday 21 May
iTOT held a get together with Parks & Wildlife’s Manager of Visitors Services on Friday, 21 May. This forum allowed commercial vehicle operators and other park users the opportunity to talk about how their season went and, also to hear from Parks their progress on a couple of issues iTOT has been advocating on your behalf.
