Economic Impact of Tourism Marketing Expenditure in Tasmania 2013

A major new report into the economic contribution of Tourism Tasmania's marketing activities promoting Tasmania as a visitor destination presents a compelling business case to the Tasmanian Government to further invest in tourism marketing to stimulate the economy.

The report by leading Australian economic forecasters Deloitte Access Economics and commissioned by Tourism Industry Council Tasmania, concludes that for every additional $1 million invested in tourism marketing, between $6 and $19 million of economic activity is generated in the Tasmanian economy.
