Centre for Tasmanian Industry

Friday, April 27, 2012

Tourism Industry Council Tasmania is pleased to launch another benefit for accredited tourism operators.

The Centre for Tasmanian Industry is a one-stop-shop for business. They provide effective and practical advice on people management - this includes industrial relations, all aspects of human resource management, recruitment, training, representation, OHS, Workers compensation, workforce or succession planning and any other business issues that you may encounter.

TICT has joined the Centre for Tasmanian Industry, meaning all tourism operators accredited with TICT will be updated regularly by the Centre for Tasmanian Industry through Snapshots on changes in the Award pay rates, updates in OHS and HR issues, and other relevant issues on human resources and employment practices for our industry.

Accredited operators are also now able to contact the Centre for Tasmanian Industry directly for general advice and assistance with employment processes and requirements (contracts, Position Descriptions, policies & procedures), as well as answer any general questions you may have on your rights in dealing with unions, Fair Work Australia, or Workplace Standards.

Accredited operators needing considered advice from the Tasmanian Centre for Industry on specific matters affecting their business, or representation with unions or Fair Work Australia, will be charged at an hourly member-reduced rate.
