Previously she was Tasmanian Sales Manager for Best Western motels for many years and has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the unique challenges for owner-operators.Karen will be the TICT face in Northern Tasmania, working out of Launceston in a full time capacity assisting tourism operators achieve accreditation and also growing TICT's corporate relationships and accreditation benefits. She brings with her a wealth of industry knowledge and is looking forward to engaging with local operators and generating energy and enthusiasm. Karen sits on the boards of several community organisations and when possible enjoys getting away to her family East Coast holiday home.
TICT would also like to take this opportunity to farewell Gail Murray, who has been the regional accreditation consultant in the North for the past four years. We wish Gail the best with her future endeavours and thank her for her contribution to the organisation and industry. We are sure we speak on behalf of many accredited operators who have benefited from Gail’s experience and support over the past four years in wishing her all the best. Fortunately we know she won't be going too far and look forward to catching up with her around the tourism industry 'traps'.
Looking ahead TICT is very excited to have Karen on board, and also for the first time ever having a full-time team member operating out of the North state to further enhance and expand TICTs presence in regional parts of Tasmania.
