2015 Tasmanian Tourism Awards - Entrant Support Program
Included in your nomination fee are a number of important entrant support options that we recommend all entrants engage in. The timing of these support options are scheduled to fall along the recommended timeline of preparation for your submission.
01. Entrant WorkshopsThis workshop is run by the Tourism Awards Coordinator, Trina Mangels and Simon Stubbs, Chair of Judges. This workshop provides:
- A summary of the categories, important timings and key changes for 2015
- An insight into the submission judging process
- Guidance on preparing for your site visit
- Important question by question tips on preparing your Tourism Awards Submission
- Includes snapshot examples of National Award Winning Submissions
It is recommended that ALL entrants attend one of these workshops, whether they are a new or long time entrant.

02. Face-to-Face Mentoring
Introduced for the first time in 2015, this important Entrant Support option provides you with some valuable time one on one time with an experienced judge, entrant or submission writer.
You will need to have your 1st draft submission ready a few days prior to meeting with someone within your region the week of 20th July 2015. They will review your submission before meeting with you for 1-1.5 hours to provide guidance.
Details of a day, time and mentor will be provided at a later date.
Register your interest in this mentoring option by the 1st July 2015 at the latest.
03. Email Mentor Feedback
Once you have your final version of your submission completed you have the opportunity to email it to a mentor for feedback prior to your final upload onto the eAwards portal.
To take up this service you need to email your submission to email@example.com between Monday 3 August and Wednesday 12th August, 2015.
Your submission will be returned to you at the latest 5pm Wednesday 19th August.
04. Special “Looking for the Winning Edge” Conference Workshop
If you are attending the Tasmanian Tourism Conference in Launceston in June and are thinking about entering the 2015 Tasmanian Tourism Awards, make sure you register for this special Awards Workshop on Tuesday 2nd June. Click here for more information. The cost of attending this is not included in your nomination fee.
05. Awards Advance Newsletter
There will be a regular Awards Advance Newsletters with tips, advice, updates and reminders on key important milestones and dates. It’s highly recommended that you subscribe to this Newsletter and take the time to read it.
