Hot Topics and Leading SpeakersThis year, we’re pleased to announce Rachel Argaman, CEO of major accommodation group TFE Hotels, will present our opening keynote address on creating customer-focussed ‘Culture by Design, not Default’, and up and coming business leader Dean Evans from Leading Minds Australia will concentrate on making that connection with your customer in ‘Customer Care: the New Rules for Delivering Exceptional Customer Service’.
In our workshops and breakouts we’ll look at a number of hot topics, and customer service fundamentals all along the customer journey, including market research, architecture and design, listings and distribution, website turn-ons and turn-offs, using the media to your advantage, interpretation and experience development, inclusive and accessible tourism, creating engaging business events.
We’ll cover the big picture – how we’re going to achieve our goals to get 1.5 million visitors to Tasmania by 2020 and maximise the Tasmanian visitor economy; but we won’t forget the nitty gritty, those little things that can make all the difference to the relationship between you and your customer.
Two Days you Can’t Afford to MissOnce again, the Tasmanian Tourism Conference will be a packed two day affair.
On Day 1 we have expanded the Workshop program yet again, to offer you a great choice of practice, hands-on sessions with industry experts on a range of hot topics. Plus, the Tasmanian Tourism and Hospitality Industry Trade Show at the Albert Hall in the evening, and we’re pleased to say that Tourism Northern Tasmania will be coordinating ‘Northern Tasmania on a Plate’ again, just for you.
On Day 2, it’s another full day of Conference business sessions, to engage, challenge and inspire. Finishing up in the evening, it’s the always enjoyable Conference Dinner – with special guest and local girl, Hannah Gadsby set to provide some serious laughs.
