Tourism Industry Council Tasmania  |  2015 Tasmanian Tourism Conference - Dinner

2015 Innkeepers Tasmania Tourism Conference - Dinner

Date: Wednesday 03-Jun-2015

Venue: Country Club Tasmania, Launceston
Time: 6:30pm (Pre-Dinner Drinks)
Later: Tonic Bar (open late)

Featuring fine Tasmanian food and wine, top off a great day with good company at the Conference Dinner. Network with industry colleagues, be entertained by one of Australia’s top young comedians – our own Hannah Gadbsy – and raise valuable funds for the Tasmanian Devil Appeal at the third annual ‘Devil of an Auction’.

Hannah Gadsby

Born and raised in Smithon, Hannah Gadsby is an award-winning Australian comedian who thinks quickly and moves slowly. She is sardonic, laconic, and after numerous bone-crunching accidents, bionic.

Hannah began her stand-up career in 2006, when she was “discovered” at the Hobart Comedy Festival. Relieved to know she existed, she went on to win the national Raw Comedy final, and then second place at ‘So You Think You’re Funny’ at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Fast forward to 2015; Hannah has performed to sold out houses at comedy festivals across Australia and around the world. She has accepted invitations to perform at exclusive Kilkenny and Montreal Comedy Festivals, and was nominated for Best Show at the Melbourne Comedy Festival in 2013. She has starred in Please Like Me, Adam Hills Tonight, Spicks and Specks, and Agony Aunts on ABC.

Plus, to make use of her Art History degree, Hannah has written and presented a number of specials for ABC’s Artscape, as well as incredibly popular comedic art lectures at galleries, museums and festivals around the world. She is currently writing her first book, based on her mildly alarming medical history. And now she’s coming home, just for you.

Devil of an Auction

We’re raising funds for the Tasmanian Devil Program Appeal, and we’re auctioning off some fantastic products and experiences donated by generous tourism operators from around the state. Bring your wallets and dig deep for the Tassie Devil!
